The Red Plum Blossom Photo Contest is Hwaeomsa Temple’s signature annual cultural event, held in harmony with the blooming season of the temple’s renowned red plum blossoms, which are designated as a Natural Monument of Korea. The contest is divided into two categories: a Professional Photographer category and a Mobile Photography category, allowing both experts and general visitors to participate. Celebrating the harmony between nature, culture, and art, the contest has become one of Hwaeomsa’s most representative events. This year marks the 6th edition of the Red Plum Blossom Photo Contest.
